• Ensure to the best of our ability that unmeritorious claims are defeated and the benefits recovered in legitimate claims are reasonable;

• Limit the cost of the individual claim to the self-insured client or carrier by seeking prompt and cost-effective dispositions, consistent with the provision of an effective defense, and;

• Work toward a more effective and responsive system of benefit entitlement determination and limit the presence of abusive practices in the system.
