Stephen Piccola, an associate with our firm has, during his many years of law practice, acquired a well-deserved reputation within the workers’ compensation community as a well skilled, knowledgeable and experienced trial lawyer. He is widely recognized as a meticulous technician in his approach to file handling.
Life experiences, particularly in a variety of work settings, are invaluable to an attorney in the workers’ compensation field because of the perspective that is thereby acquired. Mr. Piccola takes a back seat to no one in that regard having experienced work in settings ranging from a meat processing plant to aircraft manufacturing. As far as education is concerned, Mr. Piccola acquired a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from California State University, Northridge in 1972 and, thereafter, continued on with law school at Loyola University of Los Angeles, School of Law where he obtained his Juris Doctorate degree in 1975. After being sworn in as a member of the State Bar of California in 1976, Mr. Piccola briefly practiced in the criminal law field before ultimately discovering workers’ compensation. After a brief period of practice as an applicant’s attorney, he joined the defense bar by becoming an associate with Zonni, Ginocchio and Taylor, where he acquired experience defending both private and public sector employers before the WCAB. In the course of his practice, Mr. Piccola has acquired a designation as a workers’ compensation specialist under the specialization certification program administered by the State Bar of California. With the depth and variety of his experience representing both carriers and self-insured employers, we are pleased to be able to offer such a valuable resource to our clients for their representation. Mr. Piccola practices in our Glendale, California office.
