Mr. Hale, an associate with the firm, was affiliated with Rick M. Secia in the Orange County law practice of Secia & Hale at the time of the merger of that firm with Lister & Martin to become the firm of Lister, Martin, Thompson & Secia. Mr. Hale draws on many years of experience in the field of workers' compensation defense having served as counsel for Fremont Compensation Insurance Company from August of 1986 until joining Mr. Secia's practice. He had four years of previous experience in the insurance defense field with an emphasis in medical malpractice, product liability, and landlord/tenant and automobile cases and has maintained expertise in the subrogation aspect of workers' compensation claims. He has acquired a reputation in the workers' compensation field as a tenacious and knowledgeable practitioner. After his graduation from Western State University School of Law with a Juris Doctor degree in May of 1981, where he served as the editor of the Law Review and received the American Jurisprudence Award in Evidence, he was admitted to the State Bar of California and admitted to practice before the Federal Judiciary. He is also a member of the Orange County Bar Association. Mr. Hale served with the United States Army from October 1973 through October of 1977 on active duty. Mr. Hale was born in Sacramento, California on April 5, 1951.
