Ryan W. Burke

In keeping with our commitment to provide the very highest quality of professional representation, and secure that promise to our clients on into the future, we specifically recruited a younger individual who we could train in accordance with our firm's standards. We were very selective in our efforts to ensure that our new associate had the academic background, intelligence and work ethic demanded by our practice. We were pleased to secure Mr. Ryan Burke to fill that need.

A native of Glendale, California, Mr. Burke attended Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy in 2000. During that time, Mr. Burke was very active in community service, as well as a participant in the school's Oxford Scholar's program that provided him with the opportunity to study at the prestigious Queen's College, Oxford University in England. Mr. Burke continued his education at Loyola Law School, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 2003. He served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Dickran Tevrizian of the United States District Court, Central District of California and was admitted to the California Bar in December 2003.

After graduating from law school, Mr. Burke entered the world of business civil litigation with a small firm in Sherman Oaks, CA. During that time, he represented various businesses in the San Fernando Valley. He acquired skills related to discovery that will be of significant value in the worker's compensation setting and his experience in civil litigation provides him with an understanding of the civil process that is not shared by most attorneys who practice in the workers' compensation field. From there, he became in-house counsel for a distributor for military specified hardware, most notably assisting in the adaptation to new government compliance regulations. Such experience is uniquely beneficial in our field since, again, there are few practitioners in workers' compensation who have experience working within the employer and who are familiar with the internal politics and other challenges that become apparent in that setting.

Mr. Burke is a member of the American Bar Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. He enjoys golfing (time permitting!) and is an associate member of the Brookside Men's Golf Club.
